Wanted criminal, weapon supplier held in Kurukshetra

The unit also arrested the person who supplied the weapon.
A police spokesperson said the CIA-2 team arrested Kuldeep alias Meenu, a resident of Hisar, and seized a country-made pistol and a live cartridge from him. Later, Deepak, also of Hisar, was arrested in Kurukshetra for supplying the firearm.
Acting on directions from the Haryana DGP, 'Operation Track Down' was launched to trace and arrest criminals. On November 8, the CIA-2 unit received a tip-off about Kuldeep’s presence near the Sunderpur flyover. The team reached the spot, detained him and recovered the weapon. A case was registered under the Arms Act at the City Thanesar police station. During interrogation, Deepak was found to be the supplier and was subsequently arrested.
CIA-2 in-charge Mohan Lal said there were nearly 11 cases of theft, cheating, snatching, assault and Arms Act violations against Kuldeep across Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi. He was wanted in a case registered at City Pehowa police station. Deepak too faced two cases and was wanted in one of them. Both were produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.
