Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij today said the new India, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, knew how to give a befitting reply to its enemies.

He led a Tiranga Yatra in Ambala Cantonment, attended by a large number of people, including BJP workers, local leaders, IMA members, traders, social and religious organisations, ex-servicemen, college students and NCC cadets.

The Tiranga Yatra started from Government College and passed through various areas, including Kabari Bazaar, Pul Chameli, Old Vegetable Market, DC Road, Bajaja Bazaar, Sadar Bazaar and concluded back on the college campus.

Addressing the people present during the Tiranga Yatra, the minister said the patriotic people of Ambala Cantonment participated in large numbers and paid respect to the brave soldiers, who have recently given a tough fight to Pakistan, by holding the Tricolour in their hands.

“Through the yatra, the people here have given a message to our brave soldiers that we are with you in every battle. Pakistan had been engaging in mischievous acts for a long time. In Pahalgam, Pakistan-backed terrorists asked people their religion and shot unarmed civilians. In the past, previous governments would merely pay tributes and retreat to their homes after such incidents. But Prime Minister Modi declared that terrorists would be hunted down even in their homes”, he said.

Anil Vij said, “Within four days, India launched accurate strikes. The combined efforts of India’s three armed forces and intelligence agencies resulted in precision targeting. About 15 indigenous BrahMos missiles were used to destroy terrorist hideouts, airports, and air command centres in Pakistan. Although Pakistan initially denied it, it has now issued tenders to repair damaged airbases—proving the effectiveness of India’s strikes.”

The minister said, “The war is not completely over yet, it depends on the attitude of Pakistan and every terrorist base will be destroyed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a clear message that every single terrorist will be eliminated. The support of the people is crucial in any war and today the nation stands firmly with the armed forces.”

Vij criticised Turkey for openly supporting Pakistan and said, “Turkish officials operated drones from Pakistan, but Indian forces brought them down. Despite India’s aid during the 2023 earthquake, Turkey betrayed that goodwill. As a result, India has decided to stop trade with Turkey and Azerbaijan and Indian tourists are choosing not to visit these countries. We have faith in our Prime Minister and we are not going to be influenced by the words of the prime minister or president of any foreign country”.
