The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has said the potable water supply to Gurugram will be affected on Friday and Saturday (July 19 and July 20) due to maintenance works of the water treatment plants.

According to the GMDA, the maintenance work of 1,200-mm pipeline is required which has been scheduled to be done on Friday from 10 am to 10 pm, due to which there will be a shutdown of the water treatment plant at Basai for 12 hours.

The water supply in Sectors 4,5,9,12,14,17,18,21,22,23,23A, Gurgaon village,Dayanadand Colony, Rajiv Nagar, Sheetla Colony, Dharam Colony, Ashok Vihar Phase I and II, Maruti Udhyog, HSIIDC, Choma village, Dundahera village, Mullahera village, Caterpuri village and nearby areas will be affected by the shutdown. The GMDA has advised the residents to use water judiciously to avoid complete dry conditions on Friday and Saturday.
