In all 100 students and faculty members participated in the webinar. Mukesh Kumar, Masters in IT from JCE Australia, having 14 years of industry experience and currently working as fanatical support manager at Rackspace Technology, was the key note speaker at the event. Prof Dharminder Kumar, Director, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Innovation and Incubation Centre, was the chief guest. Prof Dharmender Kumar, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Pratap Singh, Director, Placement, presided over the session. Director said starting from centralised computing and storage to personalised computers, IT industry had moved to cloud computing. “It is like channels of satellite TVs in our homes,” he said. He appealed all students to learn the most from the seminar. Keynote speaker Mukesh Kumar highlighted the difference between traditional IT infrastructure and cloud computing.
1st e-issue of journal released
Rohtak: Prof OP Kalra, Vice-Chancellor, Pt BD Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHS), Rohtak, released the first e-issue of the Haryana Journal of Ophthalmology, an official publication of the Haryana Ophthalmological Society, on Wednesday. UHS Registrar Prof HK Aggarwal and PGIMS Director Dr Rohtas Yadav were also present. Dr Manisha Nada, the chief editor of the journal, said it was for the first time that an e-issue of the journal had been published in view of the Covid pandemic. The journal contains information about the role of ophthalmologists during the Covid crisis, she added.
