Fire-tenders struggle due to encroachments on roads in Karnal

FIRE-TENDERS often struggle to navigate through encroached roads in the city. This is jeopardising the safety of area residents. With hanging wires needing manual lifting and parked cars blocking half the way due to an encroached garden, emergency response time is severely affected. A single delay could prove fatal. The authorities must act now. Regular dry runs in all sectors, at least once a year, are essential to ensure preparedness before any tragedy strikes.
