PATIENTS and their attendants have to wait in long queues at the PGIMS, Rohtak. The wait is not just limited to obtaining treatment cards but people standing in queues can be spotted outside blood testing centre and at the OPD. Though the authorities have implemented measures to reduce the waiting time, these steps have failed to address the issue. —Mukesh Kumar, Rohtak

Road submerged in Sector 51

ashort spell of rain led to the accumulation of water at Gate No 2 of Sector 51 in Gurugram where people voted in the civic poll on March 2. It is disheartening to note that every motorist is feeling deceived as water collects here whenever it rains. The administration must look into the issue and set things right in public interest. —Gian P Kansal, Gurugram

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
