HEAPS of garbage have been piling up in Ward 7 of Yadav Colony in Jhajjar, causing a great deal of inconvenience to area residents. While municipal authorities make tall claims of cleanliness, the ground reality tells a different story. Residents of the area have been facing numerous challenges due to overflowing waste, with trash constantly giving off a foul smell. This could lead to the spread of a slew of diseases in the area. Sanitary workers seem to turn a blind eye to the problem. Drains in the area are not cleaned properly, and garbage continues to accumulate here. —Vinod Devi, Jhajjar

Monkey menace in Rohtak

THE monkey menace in Rohtak has become a major cause for concern. These simians venture into residential and commercial spaces, causing significant disruption. They raid markets, homes and garbage bins in search of food, damaging property and creating chaos. While not inherently dangerous, their aggressive behaviour when threatened can lead to injuries.
