Despite the administration's tall claims, many manufacturing and industrial units fail to strictly adhere to pollution control norms, leaving the problem far from resolved. Numerous factories in non-conforming zones release polluted air and untreated waste daily, in violation of the rules. Additionally, industrial and chemical waste is being burnt in many areas, while untreated effluents are discharged into drains and open spaces, polluting the air and water and making them unsafe. —Narender Sirohi, Faridabad

Repair transformer wiring

The situation in Sadar Bazar, Gurugram, is alarming, with wiring under transformers touching the ground and creating a serious risk of accidents that could result in numerous casualties. Road in bad Shape in Kaithal

Kaithal’s important paver road from the Patiala Road bypass to the local gaushala connecting many local colonies with the main town is in bad shape. The road is used daily by hundreds of residents. Due to its poor condition, driving on this road has become risky, especially for two-wheeler commuters. The risk multiplies at night when drivers fail to notice damaged paver blocks and vehicles go out of control resulting in mishaps. The problem has been brought to the notice of council chairperson and other functionaries but no action has been taken to repair the damaged road.
