The concrete covers of drains running along the national highway near the old bus stand in Narwana are missing, creating serious health hazards. With the covers gone, locals have begun dumping garbage into the open drains, leading to blockages and increasing the risk of accidents. The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
