The above photograph captured in Sector 21 of Panchkula speaks volumes about the menace of stray cattle, despite the fact that the civic body had assured residents that it would rein in the problem. Sadly, no action is being taken against those responsible for ‘setting free’ their livestock, enabling them to have a field day across this sector. One fervently hopes that the city administration would soon rise to the occasion.

Bhiwani locality faces water crisis

Bhiwani: Residents of Shanti Nagar, located on the Bapora road in Bhiwani town, have been facing a severe drinking water crisis. We have met Public Health Engineering Department officials to seek the installation of a water pipeline. The area, with over 250 houses, lacks proper water facilities, forcing women to either fetch water from a distance of over 2 km or to purchase it. Despite repeated assurances from officials, no action has been taken. Residents would resort to protests if their grievances remain unresolved.
