Speaking to the media on the occasion, Aryan outlined his plans, stating that he is committed to fulfilling his poll promises and ensuring the welfare of students in Delhi during his one-year tenure as DUSU president.

“I will show that a youth from Haryana can not only become DUSU president, but also work for betterment of the students. After completing my one-year tenure, I will return to my region to highlight local issues and work towards resolving them,” he added. On his victory, Aryan said his five-year struggle had finally borne fruit.

Reiterating several key promises focused on student welfare, he said his priorities will be the appointment of mental health counsellors in colleges, subsidised metro passes, improved WiFi connectivity and sports facilities, besides strengthening the campus infrastructure.

Aryan pledged to raise his voice for students in institutions where student union elections are not conducted and to advocate for the implementation of elections. He credited his strength to the support he received from the youth of Haryana, khap panchayats and people from all sections of society.

“The victory is dedicated to my village, rural communities, and every student of Delhi University. It would not have been possible without the support of my parents, siblings and peers,” he added.
