Will give 50% quota to women in teaching jobs, says Dushyant Chautala

Former Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala today announced that the JJP-ASP alliance will soon release its manifesto for the Assembly elections, ensuring that the interests of all sections of society are addressed.

Speaking to mediapersons in Jind, Chautala said if the JJP-ASP government was formed, 50 per cent reservation would be given to women in all teaching jobs in government educational institutions.

This move aims to increase women’s participation in the education sector. Additionally, 33 per cent participation of women would be ensured in cooperative sector schemes like Vita booths and Harhit stores. The JJP leader also promised to raise the monthly honorarium of anganwadi and Asha workers to Rs 21,000.

He stressed the JJP had already implemented significant reforms during its previous alliance government, such as providing 50 per cent reservation for women in the Panchayati Raj institutions and 33 per cent participation in ration depots. These promises, along with the new ones, would be fulfilled if the alliance came to power, he added.

The former Deputy CM also mentioned that the JJP-ASP government would ensure equal representation of the backward classes (A) and backward classes (B) categories in jobs and various government schemes. He further said similar to how Chaudhary Devi Lal abolished taxes on farmers’ tractors, the JJP-ASP alliance would include in its manifesto the promise to make two-wheelers for students, labourers, the poor, and the middle class tax-free. These promises will be implemented upon forming the government.

Chautala made these remarks while inaugurating the election office of JJP-ASP candidate Engineer Dharampal Prajapati in Jind. He mentioned that the nomination process for candidates has been completed and the election race has officially begun. Chautala claimed exciting electoral contests are emerging in every constituency and that the JJP-ASP alliance was fighting strongly, fielding educated and experienced candidates.
