With less than a week left for polling, Independent candidate Naveen Goyal has released his vision Gurugram 2.0.

Promising to transform the city within 100 days of being elected, Goyal said the Congress and the BJP candidates were disoriented and had no idea about problems being faced by the residents.

The vision document speaks of making the city an Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub.

“Gurugram is a cyber, auto and start-up hub. We should work to make it AI hub. The residents face hardships to get even basic facilities. The people want execution of smart ideas on the ground. Those who cannot think beyond religion and communal lines, cannot do any good,” said Goyal, adding that the people tired of the BJP and Congress were fighting elections for him.

“They had enough time to tell the people why they failed the millennium city. Their candidates just played the Brahmin card and abused me. The Union Ministers come and ridicule me. I challenge their candidate to hold a debate and tell what plans he have for Gurugram. Even the Congress candidate has never been seen on the ground,” he added.

In the last leg of campaigning, Goyal has left no stone unturned to reach the BJP’s core voter base of traders, city residents and even reached out to around 50,000 migrant Muslim voters who had been simmering with anti-BJP sentiment ever since migrant exodus during the 2023 riots.

“ Who talks of Muslim migrants. They are unable to even get the police verification done . The cosmopolitan city has been given communal colour. I believe every section of society contributes towards the development of Gurugram,” said Goyal.
