Former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, who was recently released from jail after completing his sentence, on Tuesday said he would soon be visibly active in public life and politics.

“I was never out of politics,” Chautala said, adding that he had kept up his contact with people during his sentence. Chautala was here to pay homage at the samadhi of his father and former Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
