The Vice-Chancellor also paid a courtesy visit to Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at the Haryana Raj Bhawan on Thursday and apprised the Governor about the recent developments at the university and his plans to expand its outreach and activities.
Dr Arya also met Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and briefed him about the thrust areas to be worked upon in the near future.
“The Governor and Chief Minister have extended their support in taking forward our initiatives,” the Vice-Chancellor said, adding that his endeavour would be to provide an opportunity to the youngsters for nurturing and honing their creative skills.
He hoped that the university would emerge as a cradle of indigenous art and culture at the national and international levels.
Dr Arya has previously served as a media advisor to former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and senior media consultant to the Union Government, designing public communication strategies for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Jammu and Kashmir.
