Kurukshetra: Woman booked for abetment to suicide

Kurukshetra, February 18

The Kurukshetra police have booked a woman on the abetment to suicide charge in connection with the death of a man who ended his life by hanging from a ceiling fan on Friday evening.

The deceased, identified as Rajesh of Kirti Nagar, was allegedly in a relationship with a woman of Kirmach village in Kurukshetra.

Deceased’s wife Bulbul, in her complaint to the police, stated that she got married to Rajesh in 2021 and she works at a boutique.

“On Saturday evening, I found my husband hanging from a ceiling fan when I came home,” she told the police. Rajesh was rushed to a private clinic where he was declared brought dead.

Bulbul alleged that her husband and the woman had been in a relationship for the past one year. She said her husband was in depression because of the woman and he took the extreme step due to this.

A case under Section 306 of the IPC has been registered at the Krishna Gate police station.
