Woman dies by suicide in Panipat

A 24-year-old woman died by suicide by hanging herself at her room in Deshraj Colony here. The police reached the spot and began a probe in the matter. The deceased has been identified as Jaya.

Sources said she locked herself in her room and hanged herself with a fan hook on Sunday night. Her family members knocked at the door but when they didn’t get any reply, they broke the door and found her hanging. Premchand, father of the deceased, told the police that Jaya was mentally upset for a long time. The police handed over the body to the kin after a post-mortem examination today.
