Panipat: A woman, identified as Pinki, hanged herself in her room at Saudapur village on Thursday. Her husband Sooraj, who works as a driver, stated that he married Pinki six years ago and they had a two-year-old daughter. He said while he was on duty, his father called him to inform him about the incident. Her body was sent to the mortuary at the Civil Hospital. A probe is under way. TNS

Motorcycle thief in police net
Rewari: The police have arrested a man in connection with a motorbike bike two years ago. The accused has been identified as Jahid of Ding district in Rajasthan. During the interrogation, he also confessed to his involvement in two other cases of motorbike theft reported in 2021. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
