In a significant crackdown on illicit liquor operations, police in Fatehabad’s Tohana subdivision raided a house in Laloda village and arrested a woman caught red-handed brewing country liquor.

Station House Officer (SHO) Sub-Inspector Shadi Ram said the team received a tip-off during a routine crime prevention patrol and swiftly acted on the information.

Sharanjeet Kaur, wife of Gurmeet Singh and a resident of Laloda, was found producing illegal liquor inside her home. Police seized approximately 70 litres of ready-to-sell country liquor and 80 litres of lahan, the raw material used in distillation.

A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Haryana Excise Act at Sadar Tohana Police Station.
