Police spokesman Chamkaur Singh said the accused had been identified as Sunita, a resident of Balauli village of the district. A case under NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
The accused was today produced before a court, which sent her to judicial custody.
Arun Kumar, In-charge, Anti-Narcotics Cell, said his team received information that a woman at Balauli village was allegedly supplying banned drugs. A team of the cell raided the village and arrested the suspect. He said 720 capsules of Tramadol, a banned drug, were recovered from her possession.
Arun Kumar said the woman was unable to produce any documents or licence pertaining to capsules.
A similar case was registered against her in 2022 also. She was currently out on bail in the case, he said.
