A 26-year-old woman, identified as Manisha, was thrashed to death, reportedly by her husband, in Nangalia Ranmokh village in the wee hours on Wednesday.

After committing the crime, the accused, identified as Veerpal, reached the Rohdai police station and informed the cops about the incident. Veerpal is employed in the Department of Posts.

The crime was committed when Manisha and her two-year-old son were sleeping on the rooftop. Veerpal allegedly attacked her with a cricket bat. She reportedly died on the spot.
