The special court has also imposed a fine of Rs 1.05 lakh on the woman convict and Rs 1.65 lakh on her paramour. Vijender Singh Khatri, Special Public Prosecutor, said the incident was reported to the police in 2024. The father of the victim, in his complaint to the police, said he was married around 12 years ago and had two daughters. But, he got divorced around two years ago. His wife took his elder daughter, who was five years old, with her. One day, his ex-wife called his maternal uncle and said she had beaten up the girl as she was eating soil. After some time, she brought the girl's body, forcing the uncle to call the police and other relatives. It was alleged that she and her current husband had killed the girl.

The police had registered a complaint against the accused. The police arrested the woman, and during interrogation, she disclosed that Rajat Saini of Kabirpur — stated to be her paramour — had also raped his daughter, Khatri added. Following the disclosure, the police also arrested Saini. As per the postmortem report, there were 76 injury marks on the deceased's body. Her husband, however, was acquitted of the charges during the investigation.

After hearing the case, ASJ Narender held the accused guilty under the POCSO Act on August 18.
