A 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped in the Bahadurgarh area on Tuesday when she was going to meet her husband, a factory worker. The police have started an investigation after registering a case against three persons in this respect.

As per the information, the victim was on her way towards Rohad village. Three youths on a motorbike snatched her cell phone. She chased them to get her phone back. In the meantime, the trio caught her and one of them raped her at an isolated place nearby. After perpetrating the crime, the accused fled leaving the victim on the spot.

Raj Shree, Commissioner of Police, Jhajjar, said the victim was unable to record her statement while a case was registered against three persons in this respect. “Investigation is underway and the accused are yet to be arrested,” she added.
