A local court here on Sunday remanded Haryana State Women Commission vice-chairperson Sonia Aggarwal to judicial custody, while her personal assistant (PA)-cum-driver Kulbir was sent to one-day police remand.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team of Jind had on Saturday evening arrested Aggarwal and Kulbir was caught red-handed while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh in lieu of making settlement in a marital dispute of a couple.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
