While addressing his supporters and Congress workers during a gratitude programme, Chatha said, “We will not tolerate any hooliganism in Pehowa Assembly constituency and appropriate action will be taken. The defeated people are threatening our supporters, sarpanches, block samiti members and the elected members of the municipal committee who supported me, which is not acceptable. We will not let anyone do the politics of hatred in Pehowa.” He had defeated BJP’s Jai Bhagwan Sharma in a direct contest in the Assembly election.
