According to DC Vikram Singh, a threat mail was received around 6:30 am, after which police teams along with bomb disposal squad, sniffer dog squad, crime team and cyber staff started a search operation.

“The information received through email proved to be false. At present, all work is being carried out normally in the Mini-Secretariat. The administration is fully prepared for the safety of the general public. The administration will ensure strict action against those who spread such rumours,” said the DC.

A senior police officer said a similar threat mail was received on April 3 also which turned out to be bogus.
