Work begins on six health projects in Rewari

Under the state government’s move to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across the state, construction and development works worth Rs 2.93 crore for various sub-health centres (SHCs) and block primary health units (BPHUs) have been initiated at different villages of the Kosli Assembly constituency of the district.

“Work has commenced on sub-health centres (SHCs) in Choki No 2 village of Jatusana block, Motla Kalan village of Dahina block and Lookhi village of Nahar block. These projects are at present progressing up to the plinth level. In the Nahar block, a block of the public health unit (BPHU) is under construction at Kosli village. Additionally, SHCs are being developed at Nehrugarh (Gamdi) village in Nahar block and Dhawana village of Dahina block,” said an official.

Speaking about the projects, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao said, “Our government is committed to strengthening healthcare facilities at the grassroots level. By developing new sub-health centres and block public health units, we aim at bringing quality medical services closer to rural people, reducing the distance people need to travel for treatment.”

She said healthcare was the foundation of a strong society and once completed, these healthcare facilities would provide enhanced medical services to the people of Rewari district and contribute significantly towards strengthening the public health system.

“These projects form part of the state government’s larger vision of expanding healthcare infrastructure and improving accessibility for both rural and urban populations. These healthcare centres will also generate local employment opportunities, strengthen maternal and child health services and enable faster emergency response in the rural areas,” the minister added.
