In yet another addition to the Delhi-NCR infrastructure, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has started building a flyover to link the Dwarka Expressway with the Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari Expressway. The flyover is expected to reduce traffic congestion and provide much-needed relief to commuters travelling from Delhi to Pataudi and Rewari.

The construction has already started and the NHAI is expected to finish it by March next year. The 183-metre flyover will connect the expressway from Royal Green Reality Court Yard, Sector 37-D of Gurugram, to the Dwarka Expressway.

It is part of the overall 46-km Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari Expressway project, which was one of the big-ticket infrastructure projects planned in this region.

The entire expressway will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 900 crore. Initially, the authorities had set a target to complete the project in 2022. However, it was delayed due to several obstacles in the process.

NHAI Project Officer Yogesh Tilak said, “The flyover will give a vital link between the Dwarka Expressway and the Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari Expressway. We have also asked the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam to shift a high-tension power line to facilitate its construction.”
