The objective of the programme was to awaken swadeshi, self-reliance and connect women with
entrepreneurship.
Resource person, Tarachand, convenor, Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, said nothing was possible without hard work. Expressing his views on Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, he said the main objective of this campaign was to spread awareness among the youth about poverty free and prosperous India.
Expressing her views on the subject of ‘self-reliance’, Dr Nidhi Madhur, assistant professor, German Language Department, KU, said self-reliance was the basic mantra of success in life. She explained to the students that self-reliance was not limited to the economic aspect only but it was also linked to self-confidence, hard work and determination. She inspired the students to become self-reliant and empowered through self-employment, entrepreneurship and new technologies.
Dr Shweta Gupta said women entrepreneurship not only paved the way for self-reliance but also contributed significantly to the economic progress of the society and the nation.
