Chandigarh: The HSSC has postponed the written examination for the Sub-inspector (SI), which was scheduled for August 29, because the date clashed with the AFCAT-2/2021 examination of the Indian Air Force. An HSSC spokesperson said the fresh schedule for the examination would be issued shortly. Candidates, who had filled applications both examinations, had recently met Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and requested him to postpone the Sub-inspector examination.” TNS

Use of word ‘gorakh dhanda’ banned

Chandigarh: The government has banned the word “gorakh dhanda” generally used to describe unethical practices. A decision to this regard was taken by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar after a delegation of the Gorakhnath community met him and urged him to ban the use of the word as it hurt the sentiments of the followers of saint Gorakhnath.
