A CIA-II (Yamunanagar) police team has arrested four persons for allegedly looting a jewellery shop in Chhachhrauli town of the district.

The accused have been identified as Yuvraj, alias Yuvi, of Ugala village in Ambala district; Anuraj Singh, alias Jauban, of Balauli village; Vipin Kumar of Balauli village; and Prashant, alias Lakki, of Barara town in Ambala district.

DSP Ashish Chaudhary said some unidentified persons brandished weapons and looted the jewellery shop owned by Somesh Garg and his father Rajinder Prashad on March 7.

He said CIA-II In-charge Raj Kumar formed a team to arrest the accused. Acting on a tip-off, the team arrested the accused near the Adhoya turn in the Saraswati Nagar area of the district, he added.

All accused were produced before a court in Jagadhri and were remanded to three-day police custody on Tuesday, Kumar said.
