Yamunanagar civic body to lease out vacant land, ponds to increase revenue

Bidding to be held
Under the initiative, vacant land and ponds falling in the jurisdiction of the MCYJ will be leased out through bidding from November 5 to November 25 at various government schools.

The Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), is now preparing to increase its revenue by leasing its vacant agricultural land and ponds.

Under the initiative, the vacant land and ponds, falling in the jurisdiction of the MCYJ, will be leased out through bidding. From November 5 to November 25; open bidding will be held at various government schools for more than 100 acres of agricultural land and 32 ponds. Mayor Suman Bahmani and Municipal Commissioner Mahabir Parsad said several villages falling in the area of the MCYJ had vacant agricultural land and ponds.

“The MCYJ will lease its vacant land for one year and ponds for two years holding an open auction,” said the Mayor. She said before bidding, the bidders would be required to deposit security deposits for agricultural land and ponds. The income to be generated from leasing the land and ponds would be used for development works, said Bahamani.

According to information, the auction for about 14 acres and two ponds at Aurangabad village will be held on November 5 at Government School of Aurangabad.

On the same day, the auction of four acres and seven Kanals of land and a pond of Ishopur village will take place at Government School of Ishopur. On November 6, the auction of a pond at Patashgarh village; four acres and a pond at Mandebri village will take place at Government School of Mandebri. The auction of a pond at Peer Majra village will take place Government School of the same village on November 7 and the auction of three acres and a pond will take place at Government School in Raipur on the same day.

Similarly, open bidding for land and ponds will be held at government schools in Daulatpur and Shadipur on November 10, Pansara and Tajakpur on November 11, Garhi Gujran and Habibpur on November 12, Mamidi-Jodio and Sasauli on November 13.

The bidding will also be held in Khedi Rangdan and Gadhauli villages on November 14, Darwa and Ratauli on November 17, Kheda Farm and Bhagwangarh on November 18, Manakpur and Telipura on November 19, Chaneti and Jarauda on November 20, Mubarakpur on November 21, Tejli and Farkpur on November 24, and Kamimajra and Jampur villages on November 25.
