The Yamunanagar-Jagadhri MC has received administrative approval from authorities to develop a grand park on nine acres near Hamida Head and a riverfront in Yamunanagar.

This information was shared during a meeting held under the chairmanship of MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora recently. Mayor Suman Bahamani and Commissioner Akhil Pilani were among those present at the meeting, where various development works, including plans for the park, to be built on nine acres near Hamida Head; the riverfront along the Western Jamuna Canal; an intermediate pumping station in Badi Majra village; and a badminton hall in Bhagwangarh village, were discussed in detail.

Pilani said the tender process for the grand park would start as soon as the technical approval had been was received.

Information regarding the riverfront had been sent for technical approval, he added.
