Yamunanagar: The police have registered a case of cheating against five persons for allegedly duping an auto repair mechanic of Yamunanagar of Rs 30 lakh on the pretext of sending his daughter to Canada. Kabir Virli of Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar of Yamunanagar told the police that he met Charu Sharma who was living in his neighborhood in a rented house. He said that Charu and her accomplices told him that they sent people abroad. He alleged that they took about ~30 lakh from him in instalments for sending his daughter to Canada. Neither did they do the work, nor were they returning his money, the complainant told the police. A case was registered against Charu Sharma, Lalita, Kanwarpal Kashyap, Vinay Sharma and Arvind Bhardwaj.
