Yamunanagar, August 18

A team of Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) arrested a man from Yamunanagar district and recovered 27.16 kg churapost/doda post from his possession. The accused was identified as Santa Kumar of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh who worked as a driver. He also worked as a drug peddler and sold churapost/dodapost.

The informer told the team that the accused was on his way from Karnal to Yamunanagar in his truck.

He added that Santa Kumar was arrested near Aurangabad village in Yamunanagar and 27.16 kg churapost/dodapost recovered from his possession.

He said a case had been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Act 1985. He said he would be produced before the court and sent on police remand. He appealed the general public that they should inform the HSNCB, if any person was seen supplying narcotic drugs.— TNS
