Yamunanagar MC to purchase 70 new garbage tricycles to collect door-to-door waste

The MCYJ will also install two intermediate pumping stations (IPC) to solve the problem of waterlogging from various colonies of Ward 20 and Ward 22. Within a month, the area falling under the MCYJ will be made free from stray cattle.
These decisions were taken at a House meeting of the MCYJ held under the Chairmanship of Mayor Suman Bahamani in Yamunanagar, on Monday.
The meeting was held in the presence of Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora, Commissioner of the MCYJ Akhil Pilani and district president of the BJP, Rajesh Sapra. As many as 30 proposals were passed at the meeting.
At the House meeting, it was decided that tenders would be called soon to catch monkeys and dogs. As many as 19 new public toilets will be built at public places, markets and other places in the twin cities.
CCTV cameras will be installed at the main chowks and public places of the twin cities to curb crime.
Signboards with the names and addresses of all municipal councillors will be installed within a week.
At the meeting, discussions were held on making the twin cities clean, beautiful and smart, solving various problems, including sanitation system, sewerage system, water drainage, rainwater drainage and lifting of garbage.
At the meeting, municipal councillors Reena, Arun Kumar, Jayant Swami, Ruchi Kamboj, Bhanu Pratap, Ankit Kumar, Priyank Sharma, Vibhor Pahuja, Bhavna Bittu, Kiran, Santosh, Tilak Raj, Shyam Lal, Sunaina Sharma, Manu Krishan Singla, Sandeep Dhiman, Dixit Kumar, Ujjwal Banyal, Harjeet Anand, Vikram Rana, Manjeet Kaur, Ruchi Sharma, Usha Rani, Seema Gulati and Harbhajan Singh raised the problems of their respective areas in the meeting.
At the meeting, the Mayor administered the oath to nominated municipal councillors Usha Rani, Seema Gulati and Harbhajan Singh to perform their duties faithfully.
A two-member Finance Committee was also formed at the meeting. Municipal councillors Sandeep Dhiman from Ward 16 and municipal councillor Arun Kumar Pappu from Ward 2 were included in the said committee.
The Mayor said the Water and Sewerage Committee, House Tax Committee, Building and Road Construction Committee, Education and Social Welfare Committee, Beautification Committee, Sanitation and Public Health Committee, Planning Improvement and Resource Committee would be formed soon.
