Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation to carry out development works worth Rs 1.24 cr

The MCYJ has issued tenders for these development works and the construction work of the said development works will be started immediately after the tenders are allotted. Giving this information Mayor Suman Bahamani said the MC would construct paved streets and lay underground pipelines in the Gandhi Market area falling under Ward10. She said in Ward 21, a stormwater line would be laid and a paved street would be constructed at Bank colony, at a cost of Rs 16.07 lakh. She further said toilets would be constructed at various locations in the Municipal Corporation area at a cost of Rs 62.07 lakh. “A proposal to construct toilets in several markets was recently passed in the Municipal Corporation House meeting. There will be separate toilets for men and women,” said Bahamani.
She said the construction of the toilets would alleviate the inconvenience faced by citizens, shopkeepers and women visiting the markets.
She further said online tenders had been issued for all those development works.“Interested agencies can apply for the tenders. Once the tenders are awarded, the construction work of all these development projects will be started,” said Bahamani.
