According to information, the 51-year-old woman had attended a satsang, along with her husband, a week ago.

Dr Poonam Chaudhary, Civil Surgeon, told the media that they received information about the case from Mohali today. “The woman is asthmatic. Her health deteriorated at the religious place. She was directly taken to a private hospital in Mohali, where she tested positive,” she said.

The contacts of the woman would be screened soon. The Civil Surgeon said a five-bed isolation ward had been reserved at Mukand Lal District Civil Hospital, Yamunanagar, for such patients, adding that kits had been arranged for Covid testing in the hospital.
