Deputy Commissioner (DC) Capt Manoj Kumar has directed officers from the Mines and Geology Department to maintain strict vigil to prevent illegal mining in sensitive areas of Yamunanagar district, including villages such as Tajewala, Nainawali, Belgarh, Kanyawala, Kohliwala, Mandewala, Mohiudinpur, Nagli-32, Bhattuwala, Galodi, and Asgarpur.

During a district-level task force committee meeting held at his camp office, the DC emphasised the need for immediate and strict action against anyone found involved in illegal mining activities. He also instructed the mining officer to inform their headquarters about the misuse of the mining department’s portal.

Further, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers from Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) to submit a report on the disconnection of electricity connections to stone crushers and screening plants engaged in illegal mining.
