Yamunanagar Mayor, MLA lay foundation for Rs 1.37 crore development projects

According to official details, the works include the construction of a road leading to the cremation ground, a boundary wall, and a shed at the cremation ground in Darwa village, located in Ward 11. These would be developed at a cost of Rs 40.47 lakh.
In the same ward, additional work would be carried out in Tejli village, where lanes and drains will be constructed from Shiv Mandir to Gold Fitness Gym and from Kandela’s house to Mohan Lal’s house. This project has been budgeted at Rs 49.98 lakh.
In Ward 9, a lane and underground drain would be built from the Government Primary School to Neelam Sharma’s residence in Kalindi Colony, with an estimated cost of Rs 47.38 lakh.
“The development of the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri is our topmost priority. We are working in close coordination with municipal councillors and officials of MCYJ to ensure holistic development in every colony and ward,” said Mayor Bahamani.
She also urged residents of both cities to actively participate in the ‘Haryana City Swachhta Abhiyan’, a cleanliness drive initiated by the state government, adding that public cooperation was vital to making the twin cities clean and attractive.
MLA Arora said ongoing development in the Yamunanagar constituency was being carried out through the support of the state government. “The entire credit for these development works goes to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s government,” he said.
The Mayor directed municipal councillors and MCYJ officials to ensure that the development works are carried out in strict compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Present at the foundation stone laying ceremony were Municipal Councillor Bhavna Pawan Bittu (Ward 9), Municipal Councillor Santosh Kumari (Ward 11), Rahul, Pawan Bittu, Municipal Engineer Mrinal Jaiswal, Junior Engineer Manish Chauhan, Dr Harsh Vardhan and several other attendees.
