These camps will be held every Tuesday and Friday from 9 am to 1 pm across the corporation’s three zonal offices.
Any property holder facing discrepancies in their property ID may attend the camps with relevant documents to have the errors rectified. Self-certification of properties will also be facilitated during the camps.
As per available information, camps for residents of wards 1 to 7 will be conducted at the YJMC office in Jagadhri. For wards 8 to 15, the camp venue will be the YJMC office at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk (near Fountain Chowk, Yamunanagar). Property holders from wards 16 to 22 may attend camps at the YJMC office located at Kanhaiya Sahib Chowk in Yamunanagar.
Mayor Suman Bahamani said the decision to hold these camps every Tuesday and Friday was taken to streamline the correction process of property IDs.
She appealed to property holders to carry the mobile phone registered with the property ID, all relevant documents, and either an old property ID bill or a notice received from the YJMC.
“In the special camp, all officials from the property tax branch will be seated at one place to rectify property-related errors. If a matter requires further investigation, it will be resolved post-verification,” said Mayor Suman Bahamani. She added that after corrections are made, property holders should self-verify their property details.
“With accurate property IDs and records, people will not face issues in the future and will not need to make repeated visits to the YJMC office for tax or other related work,” the Mayor said.
