The deceased has been identified as Harsh, a resident of the same village. According to the police, the victim had gone out to smoke hookah when the miscreants attacked him. On early Monday morning, she came to know that he had been murdered.

Upon receiving information, a police team, along with an FSL team, a fingerprint expert and dog squad, reached the spot and took the body into custody.

The victim’s family members alleged that he was killed over some personal rivalry.

After conducting an investigation for around three hours, the body was sent for post-mortem examination.

Dr Deepak Mathur, who conducted the post-mortem examination, said the accused had hit him with a heavy object.

“Following the complaint, an FIR was registered in the matter. We are examining the CCTV footage. The accused will be arrested soon,” said Bhondsi police station SHO Inspector Chanderbhan.

Harsh’s family did not suspect anyone of murder, but his brother, Vansh, said he had a fight with some youths of the village.

“Prima facie, it seems to be a case of enmity. Investigation has been initiated, the picture will soon be clear,” added the SHO.
