The court of Additional Sessions Judge Mona Singh sentenced a youth to life imprisonment with a a fine of Rs 35,000 for murdering a youth in 2020.

According to the police, on January 21 in 2020, the police found the body of a youth in the Jatuli grain market. The deceased was identified as Gaurav, a resident of Heli mandi.

The father of the deceased had filed a complaint with the police and stated that his son Gaurav had left the house on a bike on January 20 after which he never returned. A boy, who was last seen with his son, murdered his son, he allleged.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Pataudi police station and later police arrested the accused. The accused was identified as Sahil (24), a resident of Heli mandi, who confessed to committing the murder.

“On the basis of the chargesheet filed in the court and the evidence and witnesses collected by the police, the court on Wednesday sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and imposed the fine on him,” said Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson of Gurugram police.
