Vinod Kumar, Acting SHO, Dharuhera police station, said the incident took place around 5 pm when Amit was alone at his house. “The blast occurred in a room the door of which was bolted from inside. The door was broken and Amit — in a critical condition — was taken to hospital but he succumbed. Preliminary investigation indicates that the incident took place while making ‘desi’ crackers. We are in the process of registering an FIR,” he added.
