Lauding the joint operation by the Special Task Force of the Haryana and Delhi Police for eliminating three shooters of the Bhanu gang in Sonepat, Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar said today that there was no place for criminals in Haryana.

“No crime or criminal will be tolerated. The police have done a commendable job. Neither the police nor the government will tolerate any criminal in the state,” Khattar praised the Haryana Police while interacting with mediapersons on the sidelines of his “Jan Samvad” at the auditorium of RPIIT College Bastara village in the Gharaunda Assembly segment.

It was his fourth “Jan Samvad” programme after assuming charge as the Cabinet minister, in which he listened to nearly 200 complaints, directing officials to take immediate action on various matters, including vigilance inquiry into salary issues of two complainants.

He said the police would continue to take strict action against criminals.

About his “Jan Samvad” programme, he said, “I will conduct a similar Jan Samvad programme in all Assembly segments of the Karnal Lok Sabha. Through these programmes, I am directly interacting with the public to resolve their issues.”

He reiterated the government’s plan of providing houses to all eligible persons under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar scheme. Through various schemes, the Central and state governments are continuously delivering benefits directly to the eligible people.

Earlier, Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan highlighted the decisions and welfare schemes initiated during former CM Manohar Lal Khattar’s tenure which, he said, were directly benefiting the state’s people.

“Haryana is one of the leading states in the country in terms of development,” he said, adding that family ID card is a unique initiative where the head of the family provides details about his/her income, based on which numerous online schemes, including BPL cards, pension, Ayushman cards etc, are reaching the needy people at their doorstep.
