Firefighters arrived promptly and worked diligently to control the blaze, which was growing increasingly severe with flames shooting from the windows. Despite the challenging conditions, they eventually brought the fire under control.

A senior fire officer indicated that initial investigations suggest a short circuit may have caused the fire. Unfortunately, all belongings in the house were reduced to ashes.
