Despite repeated closure notices, several unrecognised private schools in Rohtak district continue to operate, forcing education authorities to seek police assistance to enforce shutdown orders.

On Wednesday, four such schools in Kiloi village were sealed by education officials with the support of local police. These institutions had previously been served two notices and locked in the presence of officials, but resumed operations soon after.

The crackdown coincided with the visit of Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda to Rohtak. “Initially, 70 unrecognised private schools were identified in the district. However, after a detailed physical inspection by education officials, the number has risen to over 85,” sources said.
