Under the Kayakalp scheme, a team of four doctors and experts of various divisions from Sonepat visited Karnal District Civil Hospital on Monday and reviewed the facilities being provided to patients and checked whether they were as per the guidelines or not.

The Kayakalp scheme is part of the national quality assurance programme (NQAP) and includes maintenance of infrastructure, sanitation, hygiene, proper disposal of bio-medical waste and infection control practices at government hospitals.

Dr Sandeep Lathwal along with other team members reached Karnal in the morning and reviewed all facilities, including treatment, testing, management of patient care.

Dr Ravinder Sandhu, Deputy Civil Surgeon, confirmed the visit and said all facilities were as per the guidelines. However, the results would be declared by the team members later on.

He said the assessment of health services across the district was being done and soon the results would be declared.
