The state unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) today paid tributes to Left leader Sitaram Yechury, who passed away on Thursday.

The CPM leaders said Yechury was a towering figure in the party and his commitment to justice and equality made a significant impact on countless lives.

His leadership and unwavering dedication had inspired generations of activists and would continue to guide them in their struggle for a fair society, they said.

In a condolence meeting held in Shimla, Rakesh Singha recalled the deep bond Yechury shared with the state. He highlighted Yechury’s invaluable contribution in shaping the struggles and movements in the state over decades.

The meeting was attended by the party’s state leadership and hundreds of party members.
