A man died in a tragic electrocution incident during a fishing trip at Gamberpul on the Kunihar-Subathu road last evening.

Pratap Singh Rana of Shimla reported to the Dharampur police that his friend Sher Singh Rana was killed near Dhar Seri village while fishing in Gamberpul khud. Along with two other friends, Yuvraj and Premchand, the group had gone fishing and allegedly asked a local resident to supply electricity via a loose wire from his home to aid the activity.

After fishing, Sher Singh Rana attempted to collect the wire but accidentally touched a live point and was electrocuted instantly.

The police have registered a case under Sections 125, 106, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for acts endangering life and causing death by negligence.
